Cyanotype & Japanese Binding
Together with artist Élodie Grethen, you’ll explore cyanotype and use the technique to create the pages of a shared publication on the topic of womanhood. Drawing from your own experience, clichés or inherited images of the female* representation, you will create compositions that question what becomes visible—and what remains hidden. During the workshop, you’ll experiment with light, shapes and images to design your own pages that will be reproduced and bound into a collective book.
The publication will then be brought together and bound using Japanese binding, in a second session with Anna Frey.
No previous experience is needed – the workshop is open to anyone interested in images, print and books.
All materials are included in the price.
There will be a short break around 12 am so you can grab a snack.
This workshop takes place in two sessions, and participation in both is required.
